Job Description	Purpose or Role of the Position within the Organization: Students are located in different labs in BCMB either located in Hesler. This person must be flexible and be willing to work closely with faculty member or graduate student. This position must be professional. Responsibilities Associated with the Position: Wash glassware Plant seeds and water plants Autoclave waste and biological materials Conduct experiments Participate in lab meetings Lab inventory General stock maintenance Other duties, as needed. Schedule: 10-20 hours per week for the entire academic year (August through May with the option of working summer sessions) during open office hours (hours will vary for this position depending on the lab-basic hours would be 8:00-7:00 and maybe weekends)
Job Requirements	Qualifications Specific to the Position: Must be an undergraduate student and be enrolled with good academic standing at the University of Tennessee Some knowledge of science Must possess good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent oral skills.
Evaluation Procedure	Evaluation Procedures: Student and direct supervisors will have open and ongoing communication regarding performance and development. Direct supervisors will conduct a formal performance evaluation at least one time per semester. Weekly meetings.
