Job Description	Purpose or Role of the Position within the Organization: This position will support and assist Professors of the School of Art ceramics area with class preparation. Responsibilities Associated with the Position: Assist with materials inventory and stocking Recycling and remixing of class clay (training provided) Loading and unloading kilns (training provided) Follow OSHA approved guidelines while working in designated areas. Maintain community work areas, keep labs clean, organized and safe. Ability to help lifting 25-50 lb. objects Evaluation Procedure: Direct supervisors will have open and ongoing communication regarding expectations, performance and development Schedule: Position available for fall and spring semester with possible Mini session and summer sessions. Ability to work 5-10 hours a week. Hours are flexible and will be scheduled according to the student’s and supervisor’s schedules.
Job Requirements	Qualifications Specific to the Position: Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities Desire to acquire a working knowledge of a ceramics classroom lab Practice and learn safety procedures in a ceramics studio that uses light industrial equipment and ceramics materials Attention to detail
Evaluation Procedure	Students and direct supervisors will have open and ongoing communication regarding performance and development. Direct supervisors will conduct a formal performance evaluation at least one time per semester. Evaluation criteria include punctuality, reliability, and communication skills.
