Purpose or Role of the Position Within the Organization:
Student workers assist staff with daily, after-hours, and weekend cleaning of animal housing areas within the small animal clinic and help provide simple patient care like walking and feeding.
Responsibilities Associated with the Position:
• Clean cages, runs, floors, exam tables, etc. throughout the clinic
• Walk dogs multiple times per day
• Feed evening and weekend patients
• Assist in restraining of patients for procedures (if comfortable and want to learn) • Assist in after-hours ICU/ Emergency services Schedule:
10-20 hours per week for the entire academic year (August through May with the option of working summer sessions) during open clinic hours (24/7) |
