UT Office of Sustainability provides a well-organized, sustainable collection service to the university and regularly puts on educational programs that are responsive to the needs of the community on and off campus. We work with various departments and organizations to inform individuals about the importance of environmental stewardship, waste reduction, and sustainability practices. Responsibilities Associated with the Position: - Staff sustainability tabling events and campus programs
- Help promote sustainability events, programs, and initiatives
- Support student outreach and recruitment efforts
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination
- Help with event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Represent the Office of Sustainability at campus events
- Track outreach activities and participation
Schedule: Flexible, 10-29.5 hours per week for the entirety of the academic school year including the summer sessions, if available. Typically, these hours will be Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm, but our department will occasionally work special events late at night or weekends (e.g., during UT football games) and people in this position will be expected to work those events as part of the Sustainability team. |
