Job Description

We are seeking dedicated undergraduate research assistants to join our dynamic research team focused on leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics to enhance human health and wellness. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about healthcare, robotics, and AI, and wish to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and conducting experiments related to AI, robotics, and health applications.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and engineers.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of AI algorithms and robotic systems.
  • Prepare research documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and seminars.
  • Ensure research is conducted in compliance with established ethical standards.

Job Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program related to computer science, robotics, engineering, healthcare, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated interest in AI, robotics, and healthcare applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic programming knowledge, preferably in [Python/C++/MATLAB/other relevant languages].
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: Previous research experience or coursework in AI, robotics, or healthcare.

 

Evaluation Procedure

Semester-wise Performance Evaluation:

Each student will undergo a comprehensive performance evaluation at the end of the semester. This assessment will cover:

  • Review of tasks completed and their quality.
  • Feedback from multidisciplinary team members on collaboration and contribution.
  • Review of research documentation, reports, and presentations created.
  • Assessment of the student's ability to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
  • Overall contribution to the team and projects.


Regular Meetings with Direct Supervisor:

Students will have scheduled weekly or biweekly one-on-one sessions with their direct supervisors. In these sessions:

  • Immediate feedback on recent work will be provided.
  • Students can discuss any challenges faced, seek clarifications, and receive guidance on ongoing tasks.
  • Opportunities for immediate course correction, if required, can be identified.
