Job Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the research projects running in the fly neurogenetics lab.

Students will learn/be expected to perform the following:

Make recombinant DNA constructs (using PCR and other basic molecular biology techniques including plasmid purification and sequence data analyses)

Clean dirty lab wares, make fly foods weekly, change the fly foods for the existing stocks monthly.

Biology majors who completed BIOL150, 159, 160 (and preferentially 240) are required qualification.

 

 

 

 
Job Requirements

Students will be expected to work about 10 hours per week with the exception of exam week.
Evaluation Procedure

Students will work closely with Dr. Park and/or his research associate or graduate student, until they are fully trained. The work products/progerss will be checked with the afrementioned lab people.
