Job Description	The Hutchins Office of Engineering Diversity Programs (EDP) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for a work study Office Assistant. Reporting to the Director of EDP, this position is responsible for assisting in the development and management of enrichment programming focusing on areas of recruitment and retention for underrepresented students within the Tickle College of Engineering.
Job Requirements	Office program assistant for Hutchins EDP are responsible for but are not limited to: • Functional area will include pre-college, undergraduate, and summer bridge program preparation/processing • Handle phone/email correspondence and appointments • Clerical filing, word processing, mass/campus mail processing • Program activities setup and processing • Providing customer assistance to current UT students within the resource center • Being on time and courteous to office personnel, faculty, staff, and administrator Serve as a resource for visitors by devoting adequate time to help make a connection to the university and student services.
Evaluation Procedure	The student evaluation process is designed to provide positive and constructive feedback regarding the work study student’s performance during the academic year/summer. To aid in this process, evaluations should be completed once during the fall semester and once during the spring semester. Each semester, the work study student should complete self-evaluation to submit to their direct supervisor. The direct supervisor will also schedule an individual meeting with the work study student to complete their evaluation for the semester.
