The student assistant will aid the Introductory Physical Geography Coordinator in tasks related to GEOG 131-132 courses, contribute to new and ongoing efforts in the Tree-Ring Lab and the Laboratory of Paleoenvironmental Research, and assist with prep for other physical geography courses. Duties include (but are not limited to) operating and troubleshooting basic field and lab equipment, preparing samples for analysis, assisting with upkeep of teaching and research space, assisting faculty and students on research projects, and other duties related to teaching, research, and administration in geography and sustainability. Fieldwork opportunities may be available if the student assistant has reliable transportation. Schedule is somewhat flexible, approximately 10 hours/week. More hours may be possible as the year progresses. Must be available on Monday and Friday afternoons. |
