Job Description

Student workers will assist the Department of Economics’ staff team with daily administrative tasks and also assist faculty with projects assigned.


Responsibilities Associated with the Position:

Help faculty as needed, including but not limited to proofreading documents, creating charts and graphics, data entry and complex research.

This position may be assigned a faculty member depending on the complexity of a project.

This postition may be assigned to work with Administrative Team to assist with special events and conferences.

This position will have research portion related to Economics and have a faculty mentor.

Job Requirements

Minimum of (2) years working with the department

A Junior or Senior

Previous experience leading others, training the new work study students

Qualifications Specific to the Position:
Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities at once;
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; and Adobe

Profiencent in Avery Labels, Name Tags and Invitations. Working with qualtrics to pull data for the department of Economics
Discretion and ability to respect confidentiality requirements;
Ability to proofread documents;
Attention to detail;
Reliability and punctuality are required and will be reflected in performance reviews.

Evaluation Procedure

Evaluation Procedures:
Direct supervisor will have ongoing communication regarding student’s performance and development

Faculty will report to the Administrative team weekly while on a research project

The Administrative team will evaluate the process and timeliness of this tier

Weekly meetings will be set up to discuss objectives for that week and review of the previous week.
