Student Services Assistant Tier III will assist and support the College of Nursing Student Services office by:

  • Leading VIP tours with prospective undergraduate students and families.
  • Responding to voicemail and emails on behalf of the Office of Student Services.
  • Supporting office personnel and demonstrating exceptional customer service for visitors, faculty and students.
  • Supporting the prepartion of recruitment events, college engagement, and other office programming.
Job Requirements

Other responsibilities specific to the position:

  • Assist the Administrative Specialist with the following:
    • providing quality customer service to office visitors and greet all students, faculty, and staff immediately upon entering the office.
    • answering the telephone and direct students to appropriate contact person. 
    • notifying advisors when their appointments arrive (in person or by phone).  Remind advisors if students have been waiting in lobby for more than 10 minutes beyond the time of their scheduled appointment.
    • maintaining confidentiality of student, staff and faculty records
    • other duties as needed (ex. transporting files, assisting students with registration and MyUTK, going to collect transcripts, making sure copier and printers have paper, assisting advisors, etc.).
Evaluation Procedure

Students and direct supervisors will have an open and ongoing communication regarding performance and development. 

Direct supervisors will conduct a formal evaluation at least one time per semester.
