Job Description

The Kivlin lab is looking for a highly motivated student to serve as an undergraduate research assistant. The position will involve assisting with soil sample processing and analysis, as well as establishing and maintaining greenhouse and field experiments

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and curiosity about soil ecology. The student should be able to work 5-10 hours a week, lift up to 50 lbs, follow written protocols, and complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner. Candidates will be evaluated based on their interest in the Kivlin lab research, their schedule availability, and their relavent lab skills.

Evaluation Procedure

The student will be evaluated once per semester and receive feedback on strengths and potential areas of improvement. The primary areas the student will be evaluated on will be punctuality, consistency and attention to detail in lab work, completing tasks in a timely manner, contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive lab environment, and asking relevant questions about the research being done."
