Job Description	The Walters Lab in The Department of Plant Sciences is seeking an undergraduate research assistant interested in hydroponic food production and/or phytochemical analyses to begin as soon as possible. Typical work duties of the selected candidate may include: · Supporting the lab manager, postdocs, and graduate students in day to day laboratory tasks associated with plant compound quantification. · Aiding with data collection and entry. · Laboratory work from grinding tissue and washing dishes to potentially completing compound extractions for HPLC and/or GCMS quantification.
Job Requirements	The candidate must be available to work at least 10 hours per week, have an attention to detail, and be willing to learn. We are excited about our research and want those working in the lab to be too! No prior experience is necessary, we will adjust tasks based on your background.
Evaluation Procedure	The student will be directed by the Lab Manager, Sarah Armstrong and potentially postdocs or graduate students on certain projects. A continuous open dialogue is encouraged daily. Periodic meetings will occur to evaluate progress and determine direction.
