Responsibilities Associated with the Position: Greet visitors coming into the main office lobby Direct visitors, including faculty and other staff, to the appropriate department personnel with limited supervision. Manage the front desk and lobby area while staff are in meetings and breaks Document management to include scanning, printing, copying, classifying, archiving and filing Maintain multiple phone lines with limited supervision, including being able to transfer and forward calls to appropriate queues or personnel. Be able to answer inquiries from phone or visitors with limited assistance Deliver to other campus offices/departments Additonal Responsibilites for Returning Students: Answer general questions asked by those on the phone and in person with very limited assistance Collect transcripts Sort and distribute mail Returning Students: Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work well with limited supervision and stay on task Extreme attention to detail Have some knowledge of location of University buildings Proficiency with computer systems and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Google docs, sheets and work work well with multiple line phone systems Discretion and ability to respect confidentiality requirements Excellent interpersonal skills |
