UT Office of Sustainability provides a well-organized, sustainable collection service to the university and regularly puts on educational programs that are responsive to the needs of the community on and off campus. We work with various departments and organizations to inform individuals about the importance of environmental stewardship, waste reduction, and sustainability practices. Responsibilities Associated with the Position: - Come up with new event ideas to engage the campus community around the topic of sustainability and create designs to help implement those ideas
- Design content for monthly newsletter and social media posts
- Design posters, t-shirts, flyers, etc in collaboration with other members of Sustainability and Recycling teams
- Work independently and as a team member
- Provide assistance for all events related to UT Sustainability's projects and initiviates on campus, including interacting heavily with the public at events such as UT Football games
Schedule: Flexible, 5-29.5 hours per week for the entirety of the academic school year including the summer sessions, if available. Typically, these hours will be Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm, but our department will occasionally work special events late at night or weekends (e.g., during UT football games) and people in this position may be expected to work those events as part of the Sustainability team. |
