Job Description

The Center for Global Engagement seeks a student worker for the Tennessee World Affairs Council as an a technical support specialist to organize, manage, maintain, and operate the TNWAC virtual-based systems such as TNWAC.org Website, member and event data bases, social media, newsletter services, email hosting, and related technical applications and media.

This is a great job for someone looking to have something substantial already on their resume'. Marketing, Social Media, Communications, and a Global Studies or Political Science student would have several items to add on their resume' before their graduation. 

Job Requirements

·        The Tennessee World Affairs Council seeks a technical support specialist to organize, manage, maintain, and operate the TNWAC virtual-based systems such as TNWAC.org Website, member and event data bases, social media, newsletter services, email hosting, and related technical applications and media.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintain the TNWAC.org Website including Webmaster duties such as: process posts of events, pages, and other content; coordinate site updates; compile analytics.

·       Manage the donor/event management program.

·       Manage the TNWAC mail service, Mailchimp, including uploading outgoing newsletters and other media; maintain subscriber base; update template designs.

·       Manage the TNWAC external media applications; design content and post to TNWAC social media accounts.

·       Manage TNWAC video transcript services: record and perform post-production work to create content from TNWAC virtual and in-person events.

·       Maintain TNWAC Google Workspace email accounts management.

·       Assist TNWAC staff with technical support and advice.

Evaluation Procedure

We will provide a list daily of all the items that need to be accomplished and the due date. We will review them at the beginning of each work day.
