Job Details

The assistant will primarily be responsible for contacting potential study participants for a joint UTMC and UTK research study on cardiac rehabilitation by phone, email, and mailed letters. The assistant will also assist with recordkeeping for study documents (e.g., informed consent forms, nonparticipation forms, survey forms) and with the preparation and review of project IRB-related materials under the primary advisor’s supervision. The assistant may also assist with similar tasks on related cardiovascular disease projects as needed.

Students will maintain open and ongoing communication with their direct supervisor to discuss performance and professional development. The direct supervisor will provide weekly reminders for submission of a report summarizing task progress. Each semester, students will set specific and measurable objectives aligned with position responsibilities and professional growth. The direct supervisor will conduct a formal performance evaluation at least once per semester.
